Title:Bears
Author:Realsoft Graphics
Contact:info@realsoft.com
Description:Displacement mapping is procedurally generated in rendering time. Surfaces consisting of millions of small details can be rendered. This makes displacement mapping useful for rendering landscapes, fur, simulating water etc. Each bear of this image has about one million hairs. Because displacement map is not a fake but applied to the true surface geometry, all optical properties work. Fur receives and casts shadows. One can use a magnifying glass to take a closer look at the fur etc.

Title:Bug Photo
