Description:The denim fabrics was modeled using a simple 30*30 point SDS mesh and displacement mapping. The fabrics structure is defined procedurally using the standard VSL components. The level of detail of the displacement mapping is sufficient for modeling individual threads of the fabrics. Realistic shading is an automatic consequence of the correct geometrical structure.

Description:Version 4.5 introduces displacement mapping for SDS and NURBS surfaces. Any shader (VSL object) can be used for defining displacement mapping similar to color or other material property. The fur in this image is generated using the Cell VSL shader.
